Spring 1 - First Day on Farm: This is self explanatory. You'll start on your farm and will meet the mayor outside of your house. He'll invite you for a tour around the area so you can meet people and note the location of places. Be careful though, because the tour lasts for 2 hours. Spring 8 - Planting Festival: You will be able to talk to all the people until you receive a balloon, after which you and everyone else will let it go in the air. Spring 17 - Horse Racing (Year 1): Head off to the town square and you will find a group of kids as well as the mayor and his wife. Talk to the mayor to exchange medals (the prize money you win after betting) for a stable, stuffed horse, or sustaining carrot. Speak to the mayor's wife about betting on a horse. To the right you can buy some food items, as well as from the cart at the race track area. All of the people are just there to talk to. In this first year you will receive a letter in the mail on the 15th, however you will not be able to enter until your horse grows up in the Summer. Spring 18-22 - Vote for Queen: In the left side of the town square you'll find a table with a box on it. You can vote for one of the five girls to be the queen of the Flower Festival. The girl you choose will automatically be the queen. Note that the king of the year, the Potion Shop dealer, gets to dance with the queen, so it might be a good idea to vote for someone you don't like, so that you can dance with the girl that you do. Spring 23 - Flower Festival (Year 1): There are a few salespeople here. Talk to the man in black by the fountain and he'll sell you a power berry for 1000 gp. Popuri's mother and father will also be selling some seeds that can be planted in the Spring and Summer for 300 gp each. Rick has a bottle for sale for 200 gp. The bottle can store water or potions you get from the Potion Shop dealer. Maybe other stuff too. After talking with everyone you will meet the festival queen, however you will not be able to dance with her since she dances with the Potion Shop dealer, the king of the first year (I'm not sure how this works. If you vote for her, you can't dance with her.). You will have to pick one of the remaining four girls as a partner.
Summer 1 - Fireworks: Beginning at 6 P.M. the girls will show up at various places in the area.
Summer 9 - Vegetable Festival: Bring your own vegetable for the contest or don't bring anything. Either way, you get to be a judge and walk around and talk to people (although actually you will only be talking with people and won't do any deciding). Summer 14 - Ann's Birthday Summer 17 - Firefly Festival: Go to the beach and talk with all of the people until they decide to push the flowers into the water. Summer 24 - Sea Festival: A simple swimming contest in which all you have to do is press the A button lots of times, really fast. The mayor says you need to use timing, but I just pressed it as fast as I could. It is possible though that turbo controllers will too fast (you shouldn't need one anyway). After you win, check your mail the next day for a photo. You will also win the Invincible Katori, but I don't know what this does. It is probably one of those items that protects your farm from disaster like in the SNES game when you got that turtle from the egg festival.
Fall 1 - Elli's Birthday Fall 4 - Cow Festival (Year 1): My cows weren't old enough or mature enough to get in to the contest, so I'm not sure how this turns out. Fall 12 - Harvest Festival (Year 1): You'll find lots of food. After talking with everyone, Elli will eventually come out and give you a cake, telling you if you get the coin you will be next year's king. I tried this three times and every outcome had Kai as the new king, so I guess that's how it goes. Fall 20 - Egg Festival (Year 1): You'll be able to walk around town before the game starts. There will be boxes scattered around which contain a colored egg or nothing at all. Like the SNES version, you will need to find an egg that is the same color as the one the mayor is holding, and bring it back to him. The eggs usually change positions, however I encountered the same color in the same box once or twice. If you get them all or miss one (not sure how many you need to miss in order to lose), you will win a power nut. During and after the race you will be able to talk to people. For some strange reason I couldn't find Elli there. When you're done with the game, leave through one of the town's exits and you'll automatically go home to sleep. Fall 23 - Bridge Construction (Year 1): The head carpenter will come over on the 22nd and ask you for help rebuilding the bridge across the mountain from the 23rd until the 27th. If you want to help out, just show up at the mountain. They pay you for the work, which ends at 3 o'clock every day. At the end, they tell you how much you helped them out. When you show up might determine how much pay you get. Of course, while the bridge is being worked on you can't hire them to build a house extension. Fall 28 - Horse Race: By now you should be able to race your horse. When you get there, you will only be able to go in one out of the three races. Which ever one you are picked for is random. I was able to win after a few tries by keeping up with (not passing) the person in first, then pushing rapidly as soon as I heard the cheering. Winning might take a few tries. After you win, you get a picture of you and your horse, but no medals. Fall 30 - Cow Sitter (Year 1): Ann's father from Green Ranch will ask you to take care of 3 baby cows for a few days. If you brush, talk to, and feed them all until the 5th of Winter, he will give you (at least that's what I think he did) 1000 gp.
Winter 10 - Thanksgiving: All of the girls will give you a slice of cake in honor of Thanksgiving. Winter 11 - Maria's Birthday Winter 19 - Dog Racing (Year 1): You can let your dog race against 5 others at the Track. You cannot control any of your dogs actions this time. I couldn't win, so I don't know what happens if you do. Winter 24 - Starry Night: Go to the church at night and listen to the girls play music. Winter 27 - Spirit Festival: Winter 30 - New Year's Eve: |
